Using Blackboxed

By playing a case or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Codes

Each case code works on one computer, one time. Once the clock starts it doesn’t pause, and a finished or expired case can’t be replayed. Keep your code private: anyone who has it can use it.

Paid cases

The Gold Portrait is free. Paid keys are sold by Blackboxed Games (operated by Pablo Emilio Delgado Escobar, Mexico City, Mexico) through Stripe. A paid key must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and refunds are only given for technical problems on our side. The full conditions are in our purchase terms.

Your phone

Some cases ask you to use your phone. Normal charges from your carrier may apply.

It’s fiction

The people, companies, museums, artworks, websites, phone numbers and events in our cases are fictional or used in a fictional way. Any resemblance to real persons or events is a coincidence.

Fair play

Don’t try to break into our systems, overload them, or get around the one-code, one-computer rule.

Liability

Blackboxed is provided as it is. We work to keep it running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses from using it.
